ABIES - SILVER FIRS

Balsamea Nana
Forms a low rounded bush of deep green, glossy foliage. Slow growing, doing well to reach a height of 12" in 10 years.

Koreana
The best thing about this one is the very striking violet blue cones it has on the young plants. The needles have a silver marking on the back. Height in 10 years 2 metres.

ARAUCARIA

Araucana
The ‘Monkey Puzzle’

Slow growing at first but will grow into a large tree. Open habit with dark green spirals of leaves.

CEDRUS

Cedrus atlantica Glauca
A vivid silvery - blue that will get to be a large tree in 100 years.

Cedrus atlantica Glauca pendula
This is a very fine weeping tree.
It does get to be BIG so is best

for larger gardens. It needs trimming to form a tree.

Cedrus deodara aurea
A fine gold conifer. The best time to see it is in the spring. Height in 10 years 1.2m –1.5m.

Cedrus deodora ‘Feelin blue’
Silvery - blue feathery foliage making a dense compact
column. Full or partial shade. Well drained soil. Height in 10
years 180cms. (6ft.approx.)

A very good ground cover conifer. Spreading at about 5" per annum.

Cderus deodora ‘Karl Fuchs’
A cedar from the Himalayas. A good shape and very hardy.

CHAMAECYPARIS LAWSONIANA

‘False cypress’
Male and female strobili (flowers and cones) are borne on the same tree. The good thing about Lawsons is that they do not mind being moved even when they are large. A moist well drained soil is best, a drier soil will mean slower growth.

Aurea Densa
A small slow growing bush which has very bright yellow foliage.

One of the best conifers for a rock garden or a tub.

Broomhills Gold
Good yellow foliage and a very good conical shape

Burford Gold
A slow growing golden-green growing into a column, ideal for tubs and containers.

Chilworth Silver
Silvery blue foliage on a broad column. Height in 10 years 3ft.

Columnaris Glauca
One of the best taller blue conifers. Height after 10 years: 12 feet.

Cream Glow
Top growth bright cream/yellow in the spring. Will stand full sunlight. Height in 10 years 1.5m.

Croftway Green
Dark green foliage on a medium conical bush.

Ellwoodii
A green/ blue conical bush that will get large if left.

Ellwoods Empire
Golden-green foliage at its best in the spring. Height in 10 years 2m.

Ellwoods Gold
A neat gold cone that is very good in pots. Height in 10 yrs. 2-3 feet.

Ellwoods Golden Pillar
This is a very good dwarf conifer. It is a bright gold in spring. The foliage is compact and only grows a little each year. Height in 10 yrs 2 feet.

Ellwoods Pillar
The silvery/green foliage is tight and in lines Height in 10yrs 2 foot.

Flecklewood
A creamy-white flecked compact column, similar in shape to "Ellwoodii". Height in 10 years 1m.

Gimbornii
A dark green globular bush where the tips of the foliage goes purple in winter. Height in 10yrs 1-2 ft

Gnom
This is a very slow growing conifer it also forms a very tight round flat topped bush. The annual growth is on average only 1 inch.

Golden Wonder
A lovely golden column, It can get a bit open. Height in 10yrs. 12 feet
